The Place to Be for Foodies: The Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show

The highlight of the show is obviously the celebrity chefs giving presentations and demonstrations. The three biggies are Food Network darlings Bobby Flay, Rachel Ray, and Paula Deen. However, there will be plenty of other chefs in attendance, some of who also have name recognition. Personally, I'm hoping I can rub elbows with Top Chef contestants Carla Hall (Season five — "Hootie Hoo!") and Mike Isabella (Season six), who I kind of love to hate.

Ticket prices vary depending on what you want to do. A general admission ticket costs $22 and gives you access to 300 exhibitors (likely with food samples!) I'd give you some examples of exhibitor's, but the list is too exhaustive. You can see it here. The general admission ticket also gives you access to cooking demonstrations (Eight on Saturday, five on Sunday — including one by Carla Hall!) and tasting workshops (chocolate, cheese, and olive oil, oh my!)

You can also purchase tickets to separate events, such as the demonstrations by the celebrity chefs ($65-$85), a kids' cooking workshop ($32) and the beer, wine, and spirits pavilion ($22, must be 21 or over). For the full range of ticketed events, visit the website.
