John Butler Trio Comes to Baltimore

The two platinum albums, Three and Living 2001-2002, reached the top ten of the Australian album charts. Top ten and platinum was just not enough for JBT and in 2004, album Sunrise Over Sea reached gold record status during its first week on sale. Between 2001 and today, John Butler Trio has won and been nominated for various APRA and ARIA Awards. Among the winning awards are 2001 ARIA Best Independent Release, 2004 ARIA Best Independent Release, 2004 ARIA Best Blues & Roots Album, 2004 APRA Song of the Year, 2004 APRA Most Performed Blues & Roots Work, 2007 ARIA Best Independent Release, 2007 ARIA Best Blues & Roots Album, 2008 APRA Blues & Roots Work of the Year and currently pending for 2010 ARIA Most Popular Australian Album. It is plain to see that their music has been validated by many professional awards, but the action of their fans speaks louder than words. Spanning across the globe, fans have traveled to iconic music festivals such as Austin City Limits, Fuji Rock Festival, Bonnaroo, and Coachella to see them perform. JBT’s 2010 album April Uprising, has gone platinum and earned their highest ever American Billboard chart position!!

After opening for Dave Matthews Band at Madison Square Garden, this well-established, extremely talented trio will be returning to Baltimore at local favorite, Rams Head Live. On November 14, the doors open at 7 pm and opener Mat McHugh of The Beautiful Girls will start at 8 pm. For only $30 a ticket, this concert is bound to be an evening of priceless jams.
