Let's eat! A delicious wedding menu to call our own.

We haven't quite worked out our cocktail hour menu yet, so I'm just going to discuss the actual dinner. It was important to me that we didn't just have the standard chicken, beef, and fish (or vegetarian) sit-down dinner. What I really wanted was a heavy hors d'ouerves reception with a ton of small bites of delicious food, but I recognized that it was important to give my guests what they would all consider a full meal. Therefore, I decided to do a mixture of stations and a buffet.

One station will be a carving station, featuring prime rib. There will be an attendant, carving it up for our guests.

Along with the prime rib will be garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus.

Now, while I'm sure this meal alone would make plenty of people happy, not everyone eats red meat. Some people are more carbohydrate-inclined (like me). I've loved pasta my entire life — spaghetti has basically always been my favorite food. So what else was there to do but include a pasta bar in my wedding-day menu?

here will be a saute station with 2 chefs tossing pasta to order. There will be both tortellini and bowtie pasta to choose from with either marinara or alfredo sauce. Guests can also add in shrimp or slice chicken for a protein, plus their choice of artichoke hearts, diced tomatoes, pesto, garlic, corn, peas, roasted red bell peppers, mushrooms, chipolte peppers, or fresh Parmesan cheese.

I am so excited for this.

There will also be two salads: A traditional Caesar, plus a Caprese salad (tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil), along with another carb-lovers dream: Garlic bread!

Well, my mouth is officially watering, and I want to eat all this food right now!
