The firm has been recognized by What’s Up? Annapolis as Leading Lawyers in the Business and Real Estate Law categories. As business owners, they approach business law with a practical instinct. For him, Annapolis is home; he wouldn’t think of practicing anywhere else.
John F. Woods, a graduate of Harvard University and Harvard Law School, joined the firm in 2007. He has practiced for more than 30 years as a general corporate, securities, and commercial law attorney. He has represented banks, bank holding companies, institutional lenders, corporate borrowers, and technology companies. He spent twelve years in the D.C. office of Patton, Boggs & Blow (now Patton Boggs LLP) as a partner. He was outside general counsel to several companies, and represented numerous early-stage technology companies in government contracting, technology licensing, and debt and equity financing. He also has dealt extensively with the SEC. He has been general counsel to two corporations and a partner in a national antitrust and energy regulatory practice. Woods is prepared to handle complex banking, securities, and financial transactions, as well as civil litigation.
Susan A. Winchurch joined the firm in 2010 after having served as Corporate Counsel at Ritz Camera & Image, LLC and Real Estate Counsel at Giant of Maryland.
