Orin M. Zwick, M.D.
Oculofacial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Dr. Zwick is one of the area’s finest oculoplastic surgeons. As an oculoplastic surgeon, he specializes in cosmetic, corrective and reconstructive surgery of the structures surrounding the eye, including the upper and lower eyelids, eyebrows, tear ducts, and orbit (bony socket surrounding the eye). His services also include non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedures, such as Botox® or Dysport®, and dermal fillers such as Juvéderm® and Restylane®. Not only is Dr. Zwick a board-certified ophthalmologist, but he is also one of less than 500 surgeons worldwide to have completed a full fellowship devoted entirely to cosmetic and corrective eyelid surgery. Since the eyelids both protect the eyes and nurture vision, many patients feel more comfortable knowing that their surgeon is not only uniquely trained in the subspecialty of eyelid surgery, but also very knowledgeable about the eyes. He devotes a great deal of time and effort educating his patients, both before and during their consultations and before and after any surgery. He strives to provide the highest level of explanation needed for a patient to make an informed decision. Dr. Zwick’s philosophy regarding cosmetic and reconstructive procedures is to strive for aesthetic improvements which are natural and harmonious with each patient’s individual features.
Dr. Zwick is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). This highly selective society requires all candidates to complete a competitive fellowship in Oculofacial Plastic Surgery, submit a scientific thesis of original research and pass a written and oral exam. These requirements are designed to identify surgeons who have the training, experience and medical judgment needed to provide state-of-the-art care for all eyelid, lacrimal, orbital and facial plastic and cosmetic problems. Additionally, Dr. Zwick is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and American Medical Association, among others.
