Dr. Schneider views orthodontics as a partnership between himself and his patients. The unbeatable combination of a patient’s desire for a beautiful, healthy smile along with his skills and state-of-the-art procedures and equipment, achieve fabulous results.

When he moved into his new office in January 2010 he added all new digital X-ray equipment giving him the ability to take 3-D images using the newest, highest rated X-ray equipment. With this new equipment he obtains excellent pictures with less radiation and is able to provide a more definitive diagnosis.

A resident of Easton, Dr. Schneider earned his degree in dentistry from Georgetown University in 1966, soon after he earned his Orthodontic Certificate. The Maryland Board of Dental Examiners first recognized him as a Licensed Orthodontic Specialist in 1969. He has been caring for children, adolescents, and adults for over 40 years.

Dedicated to providing his patients with the latest techniques and procedures, Dr. Schneider is an active participant in continuing education. He goes above and beyond the usual required hours to make certain his patients receive the best care available.

“The advances in orthodontics have been incredible,” he notes. “I can now treat patients more effectively, in less time, and with very little discomfort, using the Damon System, an important recent advancement in orthodontics.” This technique uses high-tech wires and braces along with a leading-edge treatment philosophy to provide a broad, beautiful smile, balanced face and occlusion. All this is accomplished in less time, with fewer visits, less discomfort, and more stable biocompatible results, usually without the need for extractions, palatal expander, or headgear. And, as an added bonus, upper clear Damon brackets are now available. Dr. Schneider, who is a Damon System pioneer, has been using this technique exclusively since 2003—much longer than any other orthodontist on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. He is also the secretary/treasurer of the Damon Study Club of Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

Dr. Schneider’s dedication to his patients’ comfort is evident throughout his new office, which is decorated with waterfowl paintings, carvings, bronzes, and maritime art from local artists. There is a game room for patients, their friends and parents. He sees patients full time in just one office, located in Easton, Maryland, where he practices four days a week. He also sees handicapped patients three days a month at a clinic in Salisbury.

“I have a great staff,” says Dr. Schneider. “We are all here to do whatever it takes to make patients feel as comfortable as possible, while achieving the best results with the most advanced resources available today.”
