The High Kings are an award-winning Irish quartet of great musical lineage who perform classic Irish ballads and folk songs. Their youthful and spirited take on traditional music has won them an incredibly devoted, cross-generational group of fans around the world.

Much like their music, the members of The High Kings are made up of equal parts pop and traditional backgrounds.  Darren Holden starred in the Billy Joel production  'Movin' Out'; Finbarr Clancy is a scion of Irish music’s legendary Clancy family; Martin Furey is the son of the 'prince of pipers' Finbar Furey; and Brian Dunphy is the son of showband legend Sean Dunphy.

The High Kings showcase their versatility and skills as multi-instrumentalists, playing 13 instruments between the four of them, bringing a rousing acoustic flavor to new songs such as “Step it Out Mary”, as well as some old favorites such as “Irish Rover,” “Red is the Rose,” “Whiskey in the Jar” and “Green Fields of France.”  They deliver an energetic sound of 'folk n roll', serving up laughter and good times amidst rousing harmonies.

Released just last week, Memory Lane from The High Kings has already landed in the #1 spot atop the iTunes World Chart.  The group is currently in the midst of a four week US tour that includes a performance on Live with Regis and Kelly on March 17th.  Fans will also be able to view The High Kings’ new video for “The Rising of the Moon” on Yahoo! Music on March 14th and running throughout the week.  Already top 5 hit in Ireland, Memory Lane has surpassed double platinum sales there and helped propel the band to their third win as “Best Folk Group” at the Irish Music Awards.

The High Kings first exploded onto the Irish folk music scene in 2008 with their self-titled debut CD /DVD and was introduced to American audiences on Public Television where they achieved top ratings and widespread recognition.
