Local quilter Jeannine Hook has been creating beautiful designs for many years.  She wanted to use her talents to help homeless animals so she started making custom dog scarves.  The scarves sell for $5 (NFL patterns are $10) and support the adoption program at the Dorchester Humane Society.  “I am so happy to be helping animals in the care of this wonderful organization,” states Mrs. Hook.  “I’ll be happy to take orders if someone wants a custom size or design.”  The scarves are being sold at the following businesses: A Few of My Favorite Things, Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge Visitors Center, Choptank Animal Hospital, Craig’s Drug Store, Crystal Prints, Dragonfly Boutique, Fibre Cafe, Dr. Randall Heirs’ office, Island Grille, Joie de Vivre Gallery, Rubies in Red and at the society’s Pet Adoption Center located at 4390 Bucktown Rd. Cambridge, MD 21613.  To order a custom scarf, please call Mrs. Hook at 410-221-0195.
