Eastport A Rockin' Announces Logo Contest

The deadline to enter the 1st Annual Eastport a Rockin’ Logo Contest is midnight, April 21, 2011. The winning design will appear in some form on all of the festival’s promotional materials, including posters, the website and the always-popular T-shirts. The logo winner will receive $100, a T-shirt with the winning design and two VIP festival passes.
The contestants must adhere to a few guidelines. The image should represent Eastport a Rockin’ – the music, the location, the eclectic community, the fun – and should be colorful and graphically appealing. The image must be a visible, original image (no clip art, please). The image will be used on large and small posters and will be simplified for t-shirts. The image should include the year and date – June 25, 2011. The image should include a maximum of four colors, including black and white. One color can be used as a background. Solid colors only; no water color, gradients or airbrush, please. Image must reproduce well in black and white and in variable sizes. Lettering must be identifiable and easy to read. Electronic submissions only. Entries must be 300 DPI, jpeg, tif or EPS and in CMYK or Pantone colors. All fonts must be converted to outlines. All entries, images and artwork become exclusive property of the Eastport a Rockin’ and Second Street Benefits
All entries will be recorded and numbered by someone not involved in the selection. The Eastport a Rockin’ team and board of directors will not see the entrants' names until after the final selection is made. Eastport a Rockin’ and Second Street Benefits reserve the right to reject any and all entries and to request reasonable, minor design modifications from the proposed winner.

About Eastport A Rockin'
Now in its fifteenth year, Eastport a Rockin' will take place on June 25, 2011, from 11am - 8pm. With an unbeatable location surrounding the Annapolis Maritime Museum on Back Creek in Annapolis’ historic maritime district of Eastport, this daylong festival offers everything an attendee could want. Mouth-watering food, including BBQ, gyros, seafood, shave ice and more, will be available as will thirst quenching beverages, including Miller and Yuengling products and a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The Kids Area, always a popular section of the festival, will feature a moon bounce, face painters, tattoo artists and other great family-friendly activities. The streets and sidewalks will be lined with over 50 vendor booths featuring local artisans, crafters, non-profit organizations, entertainment and much more. Proceeds from the event benefit The Annapolis Maritime Museum and Annapolis Musicians Fund for Musicians (AMFM). Dogs (on leashes) and strollers are welcome, coolers and outside food and beverages are not.
