Let There Be Music

“Let There Be Music” was the name of Kent Island Garden Club’s Standard Flower Show this month, held for one afternoon inside the Historic Christ Church in Stevensville.

Flowers, particularly cut flowers, are ephemeral but we’ve caught the beauty of the show in photos taken by What’s Up? Media’s staff photographer Tony Lewis, Jr.

The Kent Island Garden Club’s flower show committee chaired by Diana Bonner worked hard on the event and included club members: Sue Callen, Linda Armiger, Denise Swayne, Genie Fitzgerald, Sally Boden, K. Ciambruschini, Linda Elias, Bonnie Cover, Dawn Thomas, and Rose Marie Wright. Honorary Chairman of the show were: Sally Nicolai, President of National Garden Clubs, Inc, Jeanne Nelson, Director Central Atlantic Region, Linda Masland, President of Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland, Inc. Trish Reynolds, Director of District 1, and Charlotte Hardman, President of the Kent Island Garden Club.
