Q: What is Sedation Dentistry and am I a good candidate?
A: Sedation Dentistry is a safe, comfortable, and relaxing method of accomplishing dental treatment. Conscious sedation is achieved through small pills, eliminating the need for an IV. It is simple and painless; the patient is conscious throughout the appointment; however, little, if any, of the visit will be remembered. Patients who are fearful, have a strong gag reflex, require complex dental treatment, or have difficulty getting numb are excellent candidates for Sedation Dentistry!
