Energy Audit for Qualified Historic District Homes

Oct 03, 2011 10:41PM ● Published by Anonymous

The City of Annapolis Historic Preservation Commission in partnership with the Maryland Historical Trust is supporting an Energy Efficiency Initiative to identify the best ways to improve the energy efficiency of historic buildings while maintaining the character and features that make them unique. The City of Annapolis is currently soliciting for interested homeowners in the Colonial Annapolis Historic District who are willing to have a free energy audit performed on their home. The applications will be reviewed on a first-come basis. No more than 10 qualifying properties will be selected for the Energy Audit.

Property owners interested in having this free inspection should send a request to histpres@annapolis.gov for a copy of the application and a detailed description of the program. The deadline for application submission is May 27. For more information contact the Historic Preservation staff at 410/263-7961 and ask about the Energy Audit program.
