Academy Art Museum Honors Craft Show Winners

The Academy Art Museum recently honored recipients of its 14th Annual Craft Show artist awards. Pictured left to right are Anke Van Wagenberg, Curator and judge; Philip Weber of Effort, PA – Second Prize for Best Body of Work for wooden boxes; Karen Hibbs of Hibbs Art Glass from New Haven, CT – Best Single Piece; Erik Neil, Director, Academy Art Museum; Cynthia Alderdice of Alchemic Synthesis in Annapolis, MD – Third Prize for Best Body of Work for fine jewelry; and Patti Hegland of Hegland Glass in Chestertown, MD – First Prize for Best Body of Work for art glass. This year’s show featured 65 national exhibitors from up and down the East Coast. Proceeds from the Craft Show assist the Academy Art Museum in presenting the highest quality arts programs and services to residents of the Eastern Shore.
