December 2nd

Severn Town Club’s 48th Annual Holly Ball
benefits the Wellness House of Annapolis and other local charities. Highlights include cocktails, dinner, complimentary photography, silent and live auctions, luxury boutiques, and the live music of popular local band “Oracle.” At the Sheraton Annapolis Hotel, Annapolis. 6 p.m. $150. 410-263- 1750.

December 3rd

13th Annual Friends Foundation Holiday Party
provides the Friends Foundation with a way of wrapping up the year while bringing together everyone who has supported them for one last celebration. This year’s event will include a silent auction with great items up for bid, food, drink and music for dancing. Please bring a new coat for a child (ages 0-18) for Friends Foundation to donate to the community. At the Loews Annapolis Hotel, Annapolis. 7:30 p.m.–midnight. $125. Annual METAvivor Holiday Home Tour
benefits METAvivor Research and Support Inc., a local non-profit that provides support for women and men with metastatic breast cancer, and raises research funds to change the course of the disease from terminal to chronic and controlled. December 4th

9th Annual ALS Artisan Boutique
features 55 juried artists showcasing jewelry, confections, glassware, textiles, pottery, children’s clothing and accessories, and more. In addition, the event will host nationally recognized children’s book illustrator, Lisa McCue, who will be signing her latest books. The event also includes a silent auction, raffle, and music. BB&T Classic
showcases three games including longtime host universities, the University of Maryland and George Washington University, plus Big East power University of Notre Dame and 2011 Final Four participant Virginia Commonwealth University. Gifts that Give Hope Fair
is an alternative gift fair where about 10–12 local nonprofits are represented. Here, shoppers can “purchase” items, like a gift of a bag of groceries, for a needy family. December 17th

Photos with Santa Claws
invites you to bring your dogs, cats, rabbits, iguanas, and even your kids! Each participant will get an ornament and a portrait photo of their session with Santa. Santa will sit with any kind of pet, kid, or family, naughty or nice! Proceeds benefit the furry residents of Rude Ranch Animal Rescue. Live Arts Maryland’s Annual Gala

MSP Polar Bear Plunge
raises funds for Special Olympics Maryland and the thousands of children and adults who experience the lifechanging benefits of the organization’s yearround training and competition programs. At Sandy Point State Park, Annapolis. Minimum pledge amount of $50.

Anne Arundel County High School Battle of the Bands
is an annual competition for rock bands from Anne Arundel County high schools. All of the proceeds from this event go to the music departments of the top four bands. At Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, Annapolis. Doors 5 p.m. $15.
