Salisbury, MD –3rd Friday in Downtown Salisbury is Friday January 20th from 5 – 8pm. All along Main Street shops and restaurants will be open with specials and sales. Local Artisans will be displaying jewelry, pottery, handmade gifts, paintings, photography and more; and as always 3rd Friday is free to the public!

The 3rd Friday Art Show will once again be set up in its new Location, the Vernon Powell Building. The Vernon Powell Building is located right on the Plaza, across from The City Center Building. We are very excited to have this wonderful space to display artwork, jewelry and crafts by our local artisans.

Join the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council and their program the Salisbury Film Society at St. Peter’s Church for A Free Movie Night from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Classic short movies of the silent screen will be shown including Arbuckle / Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, Alfalfa Cartoons and more. Refreshment will be served. St. Peter’s Church is located at 115 St. Peter’s St, please use iron gate entrance.

The Art Institute and Gallery will host the opening reception for the 2012 Wicomico County 4H Program Exhibition. This exhibition is in its second year at AI&G and includes individual works by 4H members including ACT program events. The exhibition will run January 20 - February 10, 2012. The hours are 11-7 pm on 3rd Friday. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served.

3rd Friday is also pleased to welcome the latest addition to the downtown family, Remedy Church. The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce will be helping welcome Remedy Church with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 5pm, in their new space located on the third floor of the City Center Building. After the Ribbon Cutting, Remedy Church will have live music, refreshments and a local art display in their newly renovated space. Stop on up and take a tour! 3rd Friday is designated as a City Event, and is an all-volunteer effort.
