On Saturday, Maryland Hall for the Arts in Annapolis is hosting Telling: Baltimore. In the performance, a cast of seven military veterans and family members from the greater Baltimore area will discuss their lives and the military.

Working under the direction of Veteran Artist Program Artistic Director Heather Mays, they'll perform their own words, transcribed and scripted from interviews with Jonathan Wei of The Telling Project. The result is a bold presentation from an active duty medic, a mother of a fallen marine, a "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" veteran, and others.

You should know, though, that Telling: Baltimore contains themes of war and mature languge, so it's not recommended for kids.

And, I'm sure I don't need to remind you of this, but the What's Up? Weddings Bridal Expo is also this weekend. It's on Sunday, so you can go to both!

Over on the Shore, you'll find a busy Saturday too. The Caroline County Council of Arts Literary Supper takes place at  the Caroline Country Club at 6 p.m.

Following last year's Robert Burns Supper, this year's event honors J.R.R. Tolkien and his legendarium. In addition to a presentation by local Tolkien enthusiast, E.J. Oesterle, guests will be greated to Tolkien-inspired toasts, songs, and trivia, as well as a ceremonial nod to Burns.

The evening's menu includes Bilbo Baggins' relish tray, Niggle's roasted root salad, Gamgee's pork pot pie with Shire biscuits, and Beorn's honey nut pastries.

Now, unless you've been living with your head in the ground, you've probably heard that the Baltimore Ravens are playing the New England Patriots this Sunday.

But if that isn't enough sports for you, think about looking ahead to baseball season. This weekend, the Orioles are hosting their FanFest at the Baltimore Convention Center on Saturday. There, fans can enjoy a day-long celebration of the team featuring current and former player appearances, autographs, question and answer forums, clinics for children, memorobilia dealers, and even the ability to apply for seasonal employment with the organization.

Whatever you decide to do this weekend, though, have a fabulous time doing it. See you all on Monday.
