This Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Key School will host the Annapolis Book Festival. Always a fun event, this year's edition features renowned authors Daniel Pink, David Corn, Evan Thomas, Kathryn Erskine, and James Fallows. At the festival, they'll discuss their books, current news, and the craft of writing. Other highlights include children's activities, a coffee shop, and a huge used book sale.

Also in the realm of free family fun--the ever-popular Spring Fling Festival takes place this Sunday. There, Annapolitans of all ages can enjoy an old-fashioned day of art, antiques, fashion, food, live music, and kid-friendly entertainment. The Rovers will perform in front of Galway Bay, and the Annapolis Bookstore will host local authors and magical events for kids.

Just over the Bay, the Bay Bridge Marina in Stevensville will play host to the Bay Bridge Boat Show until Sunday. The mid-Atlantic's biggest spring boat show, it will feature more than 400 new and brokerage boats, free seminars and demo rides, antique and classic boat displays, an appearance by the Kent Narrows Racing Association, and kayaks, canoes, rowing shells, and inflatables. Attendees will also be given extensive food and drink options.

Up at Pimlico Race Track in Baltimore, the Maryland Wineries Association will present Decanter-the second annual event to highlight the heritage and tradition of both Maryland wine and Maryland horse racing. There, attendees will be able to enjoy a unique view of live horse races, samples of Maryland wine, great food, and wine and equine-focused arts and crafts. Guests will also be able to bet on live turf and dirt racing.
