Street Closures this Weekend for TriRock Annapolis Triathlon

King George St. and the Naval Academy Bridge will reopen at 10 a.m.  All downtown streets will be open at 10:45 a.m.

Streets will be closed on a rolling basis beginning at 7 a.m. as the first participant approaches. Streets will reopen on a rolling basis after the last participants pass and course materials have been removed.  All streets will reopen by 10 a.m., with this exception: the lower portion of Prince George Street at Annapolis Harbor is scheduled to reopen at 6 p.m.

To accommodate residents affected by the triathlon, free parking is available at the Bladen Street garage beginning at 6 p.m. Friday. Parking at that garage is free on the weekends.

College Avenue will remain open from Prince George Street to St. John’s Street throughout the race, providing access to Rowe Boulevard and metered access at Calvert Street across Rowe.

Below is a comprehensive list of street closures.

No parking signs will be posted with dates and times on these streets: Prince George St., Main St., City Dock lots, Donner Lot, Randall St. All cars must be removed from City streets posted no parking.

·        Cars may remain on King George St. but cannot be moved from 6:30 a.m.-10 a.m.

·        Cars will be towed to the Donner Parking Lot on Compromise Street, near Memorial Circle. Inquiries about towed vehicles should be directed to Mason’s Towing.

·        Prince George St. between Randall St. and Maryland Ave. will be posted “Resident Only Parking” from 2 p.m. Friday through 6 p.m. Saturday.
