· A new crab restaurant has arrived on Kent Island. After great success selling their crabcakes, crab dip, and other recipes at local Maryland farmers markets, John and Christina Payne recently opened Shells Yes! Crab Cake Company in the first floor of the Chester River Inn. The crab shack will focus on Eastern Shore and Maryland cuisine, including Crab Imperial and Chicken Chesapeake, using 100 percent Maryland crab meat. The concept as a whole is farm-to-table with no frozen food, says John, who was trained at the Culinary Institute of America. Visit Shells Yes! at the Annapolis FRESHFARM market or at Shellsyes.com.

· Uncle Charlie's Bistro is now open in Chestertown in the former location of Red Brick Pizza. The menu includes seafood, burgers, steaks, and pasta, plus a kids menu. The restaurant has a full bar with four big-screen televisions to watch sports. Call 410-778-3663. **Please note that the print version of What's Up? Eastern Shore inadvertently listed Uncle Charlie's Bistro as being in Chester. The restaurant is located in Chestertown. We regret the error.

· Amanda Bramble, owner of Jimmie and Sook's in Cambridge, recently opened Gina's Ice Cream and Sweet Shoppe on Poplar Street. The downtown sweets shop offers ice cream, frozen yogurt, and baked good such as brownies and cupcakes. Visit Jimmieandsooks.com.

· Cambridge now has its first taqueria with the opening of Don Chuy Taqueria in the former location of Pizza Ziya on Academy Street. The eatery specializes in fresh tacos filled with fish, chicken, and Mexican sausage, along with burritos. Call 410-228-2969.
