Dr. Stitely is joining AAMC Surgical Specialists, which includes Adrian Park, M.D., chair, Department of Surgery; Alex Gandsas, M.D., director, Weight Loss and Metabolic Surgery Program; and Igor Belyansky, M.D., specialist in abdominal wall reconstruction and complex hernia repair.

“Dr. Stitely is an extremely talented and highly skilled surgeon with 20 years of experience,” says Park. “He is a great addition to our practice and the growing medical staff of Anne Arundel Medical Center.”

A member of the Easton community since 1995, Dr. Stitely is committed to his patients and to serving Eastern Shore residents. “The opportunity to join AAMC and partner with internationally renowned leaders in surgery allows me to treat patients at a world-class medical center and provide expanded access to care for people who live on the mid-shore.”

Dr. Stitely’s practice focuses on general surgery including advanced laparoscopic procedures of the gastrointestinal tract, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, surgery of the gall bladder and bile ducts, and hernia surgery, among other procedures.

Prior to joining AAMC, Dr. Stitely worked at Shore Health System where he served as chief and vice chief of surgery, medical director of the Vascular Center at Memorial Hospital of Easton, and medical director of Shore Surgical Care. At Shore Health, he performed a broad range of general and peripheral vascular surgery. He sees patients in Easton and performs surgery at AAMC in Annapolis.

Dr. Stitely has close working relationships with numerous primary care physicians in the medical community. He recommends discussing any potential surgery with your primary care doctor first, including how to select the right surgeon for your particular medical needs.
