Just because it’s gotten chilly outside doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the atmosphere on the roof at Metropolitan Kitchen and Lounge in Annapolis. The crew there has enclosed the roof for the winter season, so you can still eat and drink while stay warm. The chef has also updated the menu for winter; the new options include a seasonal vegetable lasagna with polenta and puttanesca sauce, cassoulet, lobster risotto, and pan-seared duck with braised cabbage. Annapolis Philly Flash closes.
We give a fond farewell to Philly Flash, which closed its Towne Centre location recently. The cheesesteak shop – which won What’s Up’s best cheesesteak two years in a row – had closed its original location at 1901 West Street previously. They will still serve cheesesteaks and fries on Wednesdays at AAMC’s South Port Café, as well as at their Dunkirk store location.

Nando’s Peri Peri aims to open Waugh Chapel location this month.
The African chicken chain Nando’s Peri-Peri recently held its job fair in anticipation of opening the second week of December. While we all know that restaurant opening can be held up for a variety of reasons, the fast-casual restaurant hopes to have its location in Waugh Chapel Towne Centre ready soon. It will be the 10th U.S. location; Nando’s also has a restaurant at the Annapolis mall. Visit Nandosperiperi.com.
