Oh, Holy Night

But before the chaos of Christmas morning truly hits you, take a moment to remember the meaning of the holiday. Whether or not you’re a practicing Christian, churches around Annapolis open their doors for some late night reflection. Enjoy one last evening of carols and harp music, or take the time to get back to your faithful roots.

Whatever you do, wherever you go, take a moment to hold your family tight to you and remind them of how much you love them. Recognize the blessings that surround you.

Trinity United Methodist Church of Annapolis: 11 p.m. Traditional Candlelight Service

St. Anne’s Parish in Annapolis: 3 p.m.: Christ Child Service especially for small children and their friends and families. 5 and 8 p.m.: Festal Eucharist for Christmas with carols, choir and music for organ and brass. 11 p.m.: A Candlelight Celebration of the Nativity of Our Lord, with carols, choir and music for strings and harp. Christmas Day service at 10 a.m. with Holy Eucharist and carols.

Bay Area Community Church: 6, 8, and 11 p.m.: Christmas Eve Gathering offer time for reflection and worship.

Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Annapolis: Christmas Eve services at 4:30, 7, and 11 p.m.

First Presbyterian Church of Annapolis: Offering four different Christmas Eve services. 4 p.m.: A brief worship with the toddler in mind. 5:30 p.m.: Family worship with Children's Choirs. 8:30 p.m.: Music Prelude. 9 p.m.: Candlelight worship with communion and Chancel Choir.

St. Mary's Parish Christmas Season Mass: 4, 6, and 9 p.m. and 12 midnight. In the Marian Hall: 4:10 p.m. In the St. John Neumann Hall: 4, 6 and 8 p.m. (Hispanic Services offered)

Calvary United Methodist Church in Annapolis: 5 p.m.: Children's Worship. 8 p.m.: Celebration of the Nativity in Word and Song Worship. 11 p.m. Candlelight Communion Worship.

St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Annapolis: 4 p.m. prelude of Christmas music performed byt he children of the church. 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. Choral prelude. Christmas Eve services at 8 and 11 p.m.

Eastport United Methodist Church: Family Service at 6 p.m. Pre-service program at 10 p.m. Candlelight Service at 10:30 p.m.

St. Paul Luteran Church of Annapolis: Christmas Candlelight at 7 p.m. with Holy Communion.

Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis: Christmas Eve Candlelight Services will be held at 5, 7, and 9 p.m. Families with children are encouraged to attend the 5 p.m. service, which is consider more "child friendly."
