1¼ cup flour
⅓ cup sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
½ cup milk
2 Tbsp. melted butter
vegetable oil
cinnamon sugar (optional)
powdered sugar (optional)

In a bowl, combine flour, sugar and baking powder. In another bowl combine milk, eggs and butter. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry and mix until well-combined. In a skillet over medium, heat 2 inches of oil to 375 degrees. Drop teaspoons full of dough into the oil. Fry for one minute on each side until golden. Remove from oil and drain on a paper towel. If you choose, dredge donut holes in cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar. Serves 4.
