Jalapeño Citrus Sorbet

A little bit of spice never hurt anyone. When the spice combines with bright, citrus flavors, you can’t lose!
1 jalapeño, roughly chopped
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups water
juice of two limes and two lemons
Special tools needed: an ice cream machine
Combine all of the ingredients in a blender. Blend until well-combined. Strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove the bits. Pour the mixture into your ice cream machine and churn for 30 minutes until it thickens. Transfer to a container and freeze for 24 hours before serving.
Note: This is sorbet and so it will remain a bit thinner than traditional ice cream.
