Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts kicks off this year’s Showcase Artist Series with Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Karter Jaymes on Thursday, October 3 at 7 pm. Tickets are $15; $10 Maryland Hall members.

Enjoy this intimate concert with one of the area's most popular and talented musicians. Wine and beer are available for purchase before and during the show.

Jaymes is a versatile acoustic singer/songwriter whose songs can’t be defined by any one category; his writing styles range from soul, blues, folk and alternative sounds. After 20 years as drummer for soul legend Teddy Pendergrass, earning four gold records for Pendergrass hits, Jaymes now holds a platinum disc for his recent hit 'Ain't Leaving Without You' (Hey, How Ya Doin') recorded in the UK by Little Mix and in the US by Jaheim. Jaymes has shared the stage with R&B greats Patti LaBelle, Marvin Gaye, Brandy, and most recently, En Vogue.

Maryland Hall is supported by a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council, an agency funded by the State of Maryland and the National Endowment for the Arts, and a grant from the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County.
