Maines’ favorite memory from county competition is the goal she scored against Severna Park her freshman year. She admires Olympic athletes because of the time, effort, and energy they exude to become the most elite competitors in the world. Maines has been a member of the Futures Elite Program and USA Field Hockey Program for the past five years, even competing in the Junior Olympics in August 2012.

Looking to stay close to home, Maines is considering local schools such as Towson and Salisbury. She wants to continue her fi eld hockey career after high school and is leaning towards a sports management degree.
