Classic Herb Stuffing

Ok, this recipe is really for the classic stuffing lover. It is chock full of herbs and spices with just enough textural crunch from the veggies.

Ingredients

1/2 stick butter
1 yellow onion, diced
2 celery ribs, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. sat
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. dried sage
1 Tbsp. minced thyme
2 Tbsp. minced tarragon
1/4 cup minced parsley
2 1/2 cups chicken broth
8 cups toasted bread crumbs

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat a saucepan over medium heat. Add butter and allow to melt. once melted, add onions and celery. Cook for 3 minutes until slightly softened. Add in garlic and cook another minute until fragrant. Add salt, pepper, sage and stock. Bring to a simmer. Add bread to a large mixing bowl and pour the hot broth over top. Add thyme, tarragon and parsley and mix well. Transfer to a 9” x 13” baking dish. Bake for 40 minutes until golden brown.
