Just one month after cancer survivor Melissa Smith was awarded $50,000 from Chive Charities, changing her life for the better, Annapolis “Chivers”—supporters of the popular, photo-based website TheChive.com’s philanthropy arm, Chive Charities—will come together to host a “pay it forward” fundraiser for a local child born with spina bifida at 8 p.m. on Friday, November 15th, at Fado Irish Pub.

With guest bartenders, The Chive sponsored silent auction, DJ, drink specials including KCCO Black Lager, and a $5 donation cover, a full on takeover at Fadó Irish pub ensures that “Chivers” and regular guests alike will have an epic night out.

Spearheading Friday’s fundraiser is Melissa Smith, who chose Addy as the recipient of her “pay it forward” campaign. Melissa survived Hodgkins Lymphoma twice only to be diagnosed with a rare disorder called Transverse Myelitis, which left her paralyzed from the waist down.
