COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY CELEBRATES PHILANTHROPY IN THE COUNTY

Annapolis, MD, November 21, 2013 - More than 370 guests attended the recent Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County’s Celebration of Philanthropy Luncheon co-sponsored by Chaney Enterprises and Connelly & Associates Fundraising, LLC. Other major sponsors included: Anne Arundel Community College Foundation, Anne Arundel Medical Center, CCS Fundraising, First National Bank, Graul’s Market, Hospice of the Chesapeake, M&T Bank, Severn Savings Bank and What’s Up? Magazine.

The 13th annual Awards Luncheon celebrated the achievements of Philanthropists of the Year, John and Cathy Belcher; Celebration of Philanthropy Awardee, Lisa Hillman; Volunteer of the Year, Fred Davis; Corporate Philanthropist of the Year, CPS/Gumpert; and Foundation of the Year, the Keith Campbell Foundation. Guests called the event “very inspiring, heartwarming, profoundly powerful, uplifting, educational, connecting the dots, emotional and deeply moving.” Sponsor Vince Connelly remarked that the event “always renews my faith in humanity!”

The Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County’s mission is to “connect people who care to contribute to causes that matter in our community.” Since 2009 CFAAC has given more than $3.5 million in grants to variety of nonprofits. It currently has 65 diverse funds, assets of more than $4 million, and makes over $800,000 in grants annually.
