1 cup fresh cranberries
1/4 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. water
3 cups good quality vodka
In a saucepan, heat cranberries, sugar and water until the cranberries begin to pop. Pour the cranberries and liquid into a glass jar. Stir in vodka. Cover and let stand for at least 3 days or up to one month. Strain out cranberries before serving.
Note: This is great when poured into club soda or lemon-lime soda and muddled with a bit of mint.
Makes 2 1/2 cups vodka.
