Cranberry Vodka

Dec 02, 2013 12:55PM ● Published by Cate Reynolds

It is almost annoying how many flavored vodkas exist today. Instead, infuse your own at home. Stick with classic cranberry or add some mulling spices in for a kicked-up version.

1 cup fresh cranberries
1/4 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. water
3 cups good quality vodka

In a saucepan, heat cranberries, sugar and water until the cranberries begin to pop. Pour the cranberries and liquid into a glass jar. Stir in vodka. Cover and let stand for at least 3 days or up to one month. Strain out cranberries before serving.

Note: This is great when poured into club soda or lemon-lime soda and muddled with a bit of mint.

Makes 2 1/2 cups vodka.
