(Annapolis, MD- January 13, 2014) - - Score big with great food and help the homeless by joining Heritage Baptist Church at the 8th Annual SOUPer Bowl Lunch for the Annapolis Light House Shelter on Sunday, February 2, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Members of the Navy women’s basketball team and Navy football team will ladle tasty soups prepared by award-winning local Chef Zachary Pope of Roundz Gourmet at the church’s fellowship hall (1740 Forest Drive, Annapolis). Menu soups are Chicken Noodle, Baked Potato Soup and Chili. Guests will also enjoy salad, bread, drinks and cake.

The public is invited and admission is free, but donations are requested to benefit the Light House Shelter for the Homeless. Since it began in 2007, the annual SOUPer Bowl at Heritage has raised thousands of dollars for the shelter.
