From Scratch Grenadine

1/4 cup sugar
1 cup unsweetened pomegranate juice
In a sauce pan, combine juice and sugar. Place the pan over medium heat and stir until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil and cook for five minutes until the mixture thickens slightly. Remove from heat and let cool. Transfer to a jar or bottle.
Makes 1 cup.
