1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup water
2 cups sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
In a sauce pan over medium, combine cocoa and water and stir until fully mixed. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Allow the mixture to come to a boil for about three minutes until it thickens. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Let cool then transfer to a container.
Makes approximately 2 cups chocolate syrup
