Maple Spice Coffee Syrup

Maple and spice flavors can sometimes be reminiscent of fall. However, they are flavors that really should be utilized all year. In winter, they are warm and comforting. In spring and summer, they are spicy and delicious. This coffee syrup, with lots of flavor and spice, is the perfect year-round addition to your coffee.


1 cup water
1 cup sugar
3 Tbsp. pure maple syrup
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. ground cloves
½ tsp. nutmeg
½ tsp. allspice


Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan over medium heat. Bring to a boil then reduce to low and simmer for 15 minutes. Strain through a fine strainer and transfer to a storage container. Keep refrigerated.

Makes approximately 1 cup
