Soccer, Basketball, Lacrosse
In her time at Gunston School, Moorhouse has familiarized herself with hard work and accomplishments on and off the field.
A three-sport athlete, she was named MVP of the Herons soccer team following the 2012 season. As a member of the women’s lacrosse team, she was named Most Improved Player after the 2011 season, and earned first-team ESIAC (Eastern Shore Independent All Conference), and first-team C.A.L.L. (Capital Area Lacrosse League), and was voted by her coaches as the team’s Unsung Hero last summer.
Her motivation stems from the bond and rituals created with her teammates.
“I know they are trying their hardest and I love them for that because they’re always there,” Moorhouse says. “I haven’t seen more sportsmanship or team spirit from anyone else.”
At Gunston School, she is involved in the Environmental Club, Yearbook Club, Student Government, and Give Club. “It’s just nice to get involved and it’s a great way to get to know more people in your school,” she says.
Moorhouse is considering attending DePaul, Penn State, Georgia College, Florida Gulf Coast, or Catholic University.
She is thinking about playing club soccer in college and wants to major in psychology with a minor in criminal justice.
