Single-Serving Lavender Lemonade

Jul 16, 2014 04:00PM ● By Cate Reynolds
Sometimes, you don’t want an entire pitcher of lemonade taking up space in your freezer. Instead, opt for a single serving. It’s quick and easy. And the lavender syrup gives it a floral, aromatic flavor perfect for summertime sipping.

1 cup water
1 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. fresh lavender
Juice of 1 lemon
2 Tbsp. white rum
Additional water to top off

Combine water, sugar and lavender in a sauce pan over medium heat. Bring to a low boil and cook until the sugar dissolves. Strain out the lavender and allow to cool. Once cool, transfer to a jar. To make lemonade, combine rum, lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of the lavender syrup in a glass. Add ice and top with water. Stir to combine.
