Q: What can someone newly moving to the area expect?

A: Once here folks discover the dominant character of the region is the quality of the people who live here—many families for generations—and the work and play they enjoy here. The land produces a bountiful harvest of corn, soy beans, wheat and tomatoes. The proximity to the Chesapeake Bay blesses the regions with a spectacular harvest of oysters, crabs and seafood not to mention some of the best sailing and boating in America along the nearly 8,000 navigable miles of shoreline. Life here is based around nature, sun, fun and relaxation.
