Bands in the Sand

Aug 26, 2014 11:09AM ● By Becca Newell

More than 1,300 people partied along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay during the Ninth Annual Bands in the Sand. Held in June, the event raised more than $185,000 in net revenue to benefit the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's efforts to defend and protect the Bay.

The crowd ate and drank their way through the night, thanks to various vendors including Papa’s Pilar Rum, Devils Backbone Brewing Co., Miller Lite, Boatyard Bar & Grill, Chesapeake Bay Roasting Co., Sloop Betty vodka, and Tessemae’s All-Natural, while dancing along to classics from Misspent Youth, UNITY, and Mad Planet.

The evening's top sponsors included bambeco, Boatyard Bar & Grill, PayPal, Annapolis Subaru, and Severn Savings Bank, along with Hyatt Commercial.
