Dr. Robert Andrews maintains an adult restorative dental practice at 104 Forbes Street in West Annapolis. Recognized by his peers, various dental organizations locally and nationally, and in What’s Up? Annapolis three times as a top dentist, Andrews’ mission is to deliver the highest quality dentistry possible.

Restorative dentistry is one of the most challenging yet rewarding fields in dentistry. Restoring a look or smile must not only exceed a patient’s expectations, it must meet high standards of the restorative dentist. “My work is there for the patient and everyone to see,” says Andrews. Anytime a tooth is restored with a crown that is of aesthetic concern to the patient, a porcelain ceramist is present in the office to meet with the patient to customize the shape and color of the crown. The patients have been very pleased with the beautiful results this servicehas achieved.

With every restorative case, Andrews considers the possibilities and sequencing of treatment to coincide with insurance benefits. He consults with the dental laboratory and selects the dental materials that will work best for the patient before starting treatment. “Pre-planning is everything,” says Andrews.

Andrews graduated from Hamilton College in upstate New York and obtained his D.D.S. degree from Columbia University in New York City. After a general practice residency in the U.S. Army and a two-year tour in Germany, Andrews completed a two-year Prosthodontic Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. Following two years of teaching at the University of Maryland Dental School, Dr. Andrews entered private practice in Annapolis. Dr. Andrews lives in Severna Park with his wife, Jean; he has two daughters and six grandchildren all residing in Maryland.

“I’m fortunate to have an adult restorative practice with great patients and a great staff. Many of our patients have become good friends. What more couldI ask for?”
