Visiting Dental Choice means visiting a dental practice with an incredible history and a unique, personal feel. Founded more than 60 years ago, Dental Choice is one of the oldest dental practices on the Eastern Shore. This is a true family practice with the broad perspective that can only be gained by providing continual care for the fourth and fifth generations of their patients’ families.Dr. Irving M. Phillips, Jr. and Dr. Wade P. Dressler work tirelessly to ensure that Dental Choice maintains its traditional standards while integrating all of the best modern practices.
Dental Choice offers all of the standard dental procedures including, mercury-free tooth colored composite resin fillings, crowns, bridges, porcelain veneers, complete and partial dentures, oral surgery, root canal treatment, and non-surgical periodontal therapy. They also offer non-traditional dental services including, implant supported restorations, digital radiographs for reduced patient radiation exposure, in-office whitening, laser dental therapy for both hard and soft tissue, and intra oral cameras in each operatory for improved patient communication.
Additionally, Dr. Phillips is a certified Invisalign provider for “invisible braces.” Dr. Dressler is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and works closely with local sleep physicians to provide patients with oral appliances to help with snoring and sleep apnea.
One of the key ingredients in the overall success of Dental Choice is its warm, caring staff which is dedicated to treating their patients the way that they would want to be treated. With a staff that averages over 15 years of service, Dr. Dressler feels it is their enthusiasm, competency and kindness which truly make Dental Choice exceptional. “Our main goal,” says Dr. Phillips, “is to provide our patients with the dental care they desire and deserve through experience, communication, and innovation.”
Dr. Phillips is an Eastern Shore native. He and his wife, Jane, a Registered Dental Hygienist, have been practicing together in Easton since graduating from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1983. They reside in Easton with their three sons. Dr. Dressler is a native of Pennsylvania and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He is a 2006 Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Maryland Dental School and joined Dental Choice immediately after graduation. He and his wife, Melanie, live in Easton with their two sons.
Aside from being members of the American Dental Association, both Drs. Phillips and Dressler are past presidents of the Eastern Shore Dental Society and have served as delegates to the Maryland State Dental Association’s House of Delegates. They also have been appointed clinical instructors to the Dean’s Faculty at the University of Maryland Dental School. Jane Phillips is a past president of both the Eastern Shore Dental Hygiene Association and the Maryland State Dental Hygienists’ Association. In addition to private practice, she is on the faculty at the University of Maryland Dental School.
