Get Up and Goji

Rhea’s Rundown

In keeping with this week’s get up and go theme it only makes sense to turn to the goji berry, both for the wordplay and the nutritional benefits. This drink is already nutrient-dense with dark green kale and the fresh fruits involved. The goji berries are the icing on the proverbial cake, if icing were a superfood and cake was a slice of pure nutrition. What’s so super about this superfood? They’re unique among fruits for containing all essential amino acids and also have the highest concentration of protein of any fruit. Goji berries are high in fiber, vitamin C, and contain 21 different trace minerals. To top it off, they have anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal compounds. Give your day a jump-start with this go-go juice today!

  • Handful of kale leaves, torn (red kale is pictured)
  • ½ pear (red Bartlett pear)
  • ½ apple (honey crisp)
  • 1 banana
  • Water
  • Handful of strawberries
  • Handful of blackberries
  • Generous spoonful of hemp seeds
  • Generous spoonful of goji berries

Fill NutriBullet with ingredients and blend until smooth. If desired, pour over ice.
