This snack is simplicity meets deliciousness; it’s the perfect blend of creamy and salty with a nice crisp, crunch. This wholesome little bite couldn’t be easier to make and will get you going wherever it is you need to go. I almost always keep a package of smoked wild salmon handy in the fridge. It has a fairly long shelf life—in fact, all the ingredients in this snack keep for relatively long—and it’s a healthy, nutrition-packed go-to when I’m pressed for time. I also happen to have a major salt-tooth and smoked salmon is sometimes the only thing between me and a late-night run for something that may not be as wholesome. Add some chives or parsley for a little extra flair. Fresh cracked pepper is never a bad idea in my eyes, either.
- Stone ground wheat crackers
- Chive cream cheese
- Cucumber, thinly sliced
- Smoked wild salmon
Assemble the cream cheese, cucumber, and salmon on crackers and enjoy.
