There are plenty of parties this New Year’s Eve. With so many to choose from you’ll find the most happening parties featured below.

Fun Factoid – Did you know the New York City Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball has had 6 makeovers? The current version installed in 2009, is a 12-foot-wide geodesic sphere illuminated by 672 LED modules. Bolted onto the modules are nearly 3,000 Waterford crystal triangles!




Annapolis/Anne Arundel County:

New Year’s Eve in Downtown Annapolis, Free
Ring in the New Year at City Dock in Annapolis during this free, family-friendly New Year’s Eve party. Entertainment kicks off on Wednesday, December 31st at 3 pm, with a march from the Market House to the Big Tent. Festivities, including Face Painting, Wearable Art Creation with Chesapeake Children’s Museum, Magic Shows from Jack Julius, Live Music from Goombay Caribbean Experience, and DJ Scott Hymes. Two fireworks displays will take place at 7:30 pm and midnight! Remember to park at one of the City’s 4 garages and take the free Circulator trolley to the festivities:

New Year’s Eve at Rams Head Tavern and Rams Head Onstage,

Celebrate the New Year with Rams Head! Rams Head Tavern will be rockin’ on New Year’s Eve with live music from Leo & Cygnus, drink specials, and a complimentary Miller High Life beer toast at midnight. Pusser’s New Year’s Eve Celebration,

Ring in 2015 with a 3 course dinner and fireworks show on the Annapolis Harbor. New Year’s Eve dinner is $65 per person and menu items include: Lobster Bisque, Tournedos Chesapeake, Tenderloin of Beef Filet Mignon, Twin Crab Cakes, Key Lime Pie, and more! New Year’s Eve at Blackwall Hitch,

Join the party at Blackwall Hitch for dinner and live music as they ring in 2015. Dinner seatings are at 5:30pm, 7:30pm and 9:30pm with live music by The Shatners from 9:30pm to close. Reservations required and will include a complimentary midnight toast. There will be a special early seating price of $60 per person at 5:30pm for a 4-course meal. Seatings at 7:30pm and 9:30pm are $75 per person for a 4-course meal. Enhance your dining experience with unlimited champagne & fresh oysters in The Wine Room for an additional $15 per person during your dinner. Dress to impress (tuxedos not required) at Union Jack’s Annapolis New Year’s Eve High School Prom. This year’s First Night Talbot 2015 Maryland Crab Drop in Easton will be covered by CNN along with such cities around the world as: London, Moscow, Beijing, Calcutta, New Orleans, and Memphis! Both the 9pm and midnight Crab Drops feature a parade of sea creatures. The Crab Drop will take place on South Harrison Street. Festivities include blues, jazz, folk, and gospel music, magic, juggling crafts, teen musicians, a caricaturist, photo booth. South Harrison will be closed between Dover and South Streets. New Year’s Eve in Ocean City, Bayside North Ocean City, 91st-146th
The Town of Ocean City will be hosting a New Year’s Eve Fireworks Show at Northside Park to celebrate the beginning of 2015. The fireworks display, which will begin promptly at midnight, will be accompanied by live entertainment, warm hot chocolate, and the opportunity to ride through the Winterfest of Lights until midnight. This family-friendly event will allow visitors to travel through the winter paradise of lights and then listen to music by a local DJ as they wait for the countdown to midnight. With more than one million holiday lights sparkling throughout Northside Park, the Winterfest of Lights New Year’s Eve Fireworks Show will be a great way to ring in the New Year.


New Year’s Eve Spectacular, Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, 9pm-12:30am
Celebrate the beginning of 2015 with family, friends, live music, fireworks and lights. Baltimore’s New Year’s Eve Spectacular takes place Wednesday, December 31, 2014 from 9pm to 12:30am. Starting at 9pm, Baltimore-based band Under The Covers performs a unique blend of high-energy Top 40s covers at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater, located at Pratt and Light streets. Following the performance, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and spectators count down to the New Year. At the stroke of midnight, colorful fireworks and lights fill the sky above downtown Baltimore. The annual Baltimore’s New Year’s Eve Spectacular is presented by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and produced by the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts. Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) Metro Subway, Light Rail and Bus are the best ways to get downtown for the holiday celebration. New Year’s Eve in the Nation’s Capital, Washington, D.C. at The National Mall
The New Year’s Eve fireworks display in the Nation’s Capital is one of the best in the world and worth the effort to make those lasting memories! The best way to get to the National Mall is to take the Metro . Stations nearby include Smithsonian, Metro Center, Gallery Place-Chinatown, Judiciary Square, Federal Triangle and L'Enfant Plaza. The Smithsonian Station will be “entry-only” at the conclusion of the fireworks display. It typically takes 1 ½ to 2 hours to clear the Mall after the fireworks. Public access to the National Mall begins at 10:00 a.m., with all visitors required to enter via a security checkpoint. Visit Metro’s website to plan your trip
