One food that may allow you to age well

Harvard University researchers, who apparently really wants to keep us all around as long as possible, recently published a report which reviewed to large studies of more than 100,000 participants whose eating habits were watched for more than 14 years. The findings suggest that eating whole grains, such as a small bowl of oatmeal, may reduce the overall risk of premature death by 9 percent, and reduce the risk of dying of a heart attack by 15 percent.

Whole grains such as oatmeal also lower blood sugar and insulin levels. Richer in fiber, whole grains also contain vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

This is just the sort of study we all love to hear about. Eating oatmeal is so “do-able” for most of us. And such a perfect cold-weather meal.
