Celebrate Talbot! Sample, Sip & Savor

Two dozen local restaurants and food businesses offered samples of their finest dishes for guests to try during Celebrate Talbot! Sample, Sip & Savor on Sunday, March 22nd.

Held at The Oaks Waterfront Inn, in Royal Oak, the sold-out event saw more than 300 guests meet and mingle with local chefs and restaurant owners, while celebrating the launch of Talbot Restaurant Week.

The event was a huge success, thanks to the restaurants and staff who donate their time and food, says Director of Tourism Cassandra Vanhooser. "The chefs raise the bar every year and pull out all the stops to create special treats," she says. "Kudos to our restaurant industry in Talbot County."

The event also wouldn't be possible without the support of its main sponsor, Sysco, who has sponsored all six Talbot Restaurant Week launch parties, and media partners: Comcast Spotlight, The Star Democrat, Tidewater Times, WCEI, and What’s Up? Media. Additionally, this year, Fleurish – Botanical Inspirations on the Chesapeake and Salisbury Gift & Garden teamed up to provide beautiful floral displays throughout The Oaks. 

Talbot Tourism’s next event is the Fourth Annual Tee Off FORE Tourism Tournament. It will be held Wednesday, May 6th at Hog Neck Golf Course in Easton. The tournament begins at 12:30 p.m. and ends with a reception, plus fun and games, at 5 p.m. For more information, visit tourtalbot.org.
