Drink the Week: Paloma Frio

This drink is the perfect way to cool down your taste buds on Cinco de Mayo. Blended beer and ice make a fun, slushy mixture brightened with grapefruit soda. It’s the perfect refreshing companion to your taco feast. Don’t forget the lime slices and pickled jalapenos for garnishes.
Ingredients – Makes 1
- 6 ounces Dos Equis lager
- ½ cup ice
- 4 ounces grapefruit soda
- Kosher salt (optional for rim)
1. Place 6 ounces of the beer and ½ cup ice in a blender; process until slushy. Place in a salt-rimmed glass, if desired, and top with 4 ounces grapefruit soda.
