Attorney Linda T. Cox, founding member of the firm, has long been active in the community, having served many years as a board member on the Charitable Gift and Planning Committee at Anne Arundel Medical Center and at Opportunity Builders Inc. in Millersville, Md., a non-profit organization providing occupational services to adults with developmental disabilities. Ms. Cox has also taken an active pro bono role in local bar organizations, having been a peer review panel member of the Maryland Attorney Grievance Commission since 2005 and having represented children with disabilities for the Maryland Legal Services Program since 2008.
Attorney Jessica Pannell, who serves as OF counsel to the firm, designed the C.A.R.E. program. Ms. Pannell has a special affinity for families with young children, including those with special needs. Attorney Pannell serves on the Legacy Planning Advisory Committee of the Virginia Hospital Center Foundation, and in 2014 Jessica played an integral role in creation of the Women’s Health and Empowerment Circle (WHEC) at Virginia Hospital Center. Jessica currently serves on the Advisory Board for WHEC, providing community outreach and education for women’s health issues. Ms. Pannell also provides pro bono work on behalf of Reston Runners Community Fund, an organization that encourages fitness by providing financial sup-port for athletes and scholarships for students in the Herndon-Reston area, and is on the Board of Directors of the Falls-Church McLean Children’s Center, a childcare center that provides high quality early childhood education to low income families.
