Strawberry and Rhubarb Lemonade

Rhea’s Rundown

This drink takes 8 minutes to put together after letting a mixture of boiled water, rhubarb, strawberries, and sugar freeze for 30 minutes. It’s the perfect sweet and subtly tart refreshment for your Fourth of July cook out.

Ingredients – Serves 4
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cups frozen rhubarb
  • 1 cup quartered strawberries
  • 6 tablespoons sugar

Directions

1. Place ½ cup fresh lemon juice in a pitcher. Place 4 cups water, rhubarb, strawberries, and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes. Place in freezer for 30 minutes. Press mixture through a fine sieve into pitcher with lemon juice; discard solids. Stir to combine.
