Boatyard Bar & Grill's Regatta for CRAB (Chesapeake Region Accessible Boating) welcomed 92 boats and around 400 sailors on Saturday, August 22nd.

The lively, family-friendly race, hosted by the Eastport Yacht Club, featured a “pursuit start,” which levels the playing ground for boats of various sizes and speeds, allowing boats to be able to clearly spot whoever's winning the race. Sailors love it because it’s so fun and different!

After a spectacular windy day of racing, local band Misspent Youth entertained the 500-plus crowd at the yacht club for the Regatta party.

The event raised $23,000 to benefit CRAB’s programs to get physically and developmentally disabled sailors out on the water to enjoy the thrill of sailing.
