Dr. Elba Pacheco is a pre-eminent Oculofacial plastic surgeon who is board certified and fellowship-trained. She is the eyelid surgeon to whom other surgeons, doctors and nurses refer. Dr. Pacheco’s practice integrates cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery with facial rejuvenation. Patients are referred to Dr. Pacheco from all over the country because of her expertise and artistic precision; for cosmetic eyelid surgery, correction of drooping eyelids and other eyelid malpositions, eyelid reconstruction after tumor removal, eye socket reconstruction and blocked tear ducts. She combines surgery with non-surgical procedures to restore the healthy function of the eyelids, and to improve the cosmesis of surrounding structures.
In 1999, Dr. Pacheco founded the Center for Eye & Laser Surgery followed shortly by Adoro Medical Spa. The Center’s intimate, elegant office is equipped with the latest technology available, and offers patients a highly-personalized and comfortable environment where they can confidentially explore the broad range of surgical and non-surgical treatment options.
At Dr. Pacheco’s Adoro Medical Spa, a variety of aesthetic treatment options is available. From the customized use of Botox® and Dysport® to the full array of natural filler injections, her finesse has earned Dr. Pacheco “BEST OF” awards for years. Other treatments include the state-of-art Thermage® (non-surgical facelift), Photorejuvenation by IPL/BBL/Forever Young BBL™, C02 and Fraxel® skin lasers, medical skin care, and permanent fat reduction by Liposonix®. Medical grade facials, peels and skin care are all available at the Spa. Attention to detail and a meticulous nature lend an artistic touch to her work. Dr. Elba Pacheco’s dedication and concern toward her patients are the reasons she continues to be awarded ‘BEST OF’ in Annapolis and the Eastern Shore.
Dr. Pacheco’s precision and quality care comes from her world-class medical training and personal philosophy. After receiving her medical degree from Columbia University, she completed residency training in ophthalmology at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. Further post-graduate study followed at The Johns Hopkins University’s Wilmer Eye Institute with dual fellowships in Oculofacial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Pediatric Ophthalmology. Upon completion of her training and receipt of board certification in 1991, Dr. Pacheco was chosen to join the Hopkins faculty as Assistant Professor at the Wilmer Eye Institute, where she remains in a part-time teaching capacity today. Her ongoing commitment to teaching at Hopkins continues to place Dr. Pacheco amidst the latest research and technological developments in her field. She is both a nationally and internationally recognized lecturer for academies, such as American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery among others. Dr. Pacheco is also widely published and often consulted by others physicians.
Dr. Pacheco knows that the eyes are the center of a person’s inner beauty and the unspoken reflection of their soul. Her greatest satisfaction comes from giving her patients back a younger version of themselves, and in return, she is privileged to treat their family and friends. As you would select a cardiologist to treat your heart problem, you would want an Oculofacial plastic surgeon to rejuvenate your eyes and overall facial appearance.
